Pepper/Luce Creek Watershed Stream Assessment

Our team assessed erosion severity and habitat quality at 42 stream reaches in the Pepper/Luce Creek watershed with a small grant from Ohio Sea Grant, and cash match from the City of Pepper Pike, and the Village of Hunting Valley. Erosion ratings were as follows: 1 Extreme, 4 Very High, 30 High, and 7 Moderate. Of the 40 primary headwater streams assessed, 11 were Class III Primary Headwater (PHW), 7 were Class II PHW, 17 were Modified Class II PHW, and 5 were modified channels with HHEI scores greater than 70.  CRWP is sharing results of the assessments with the City of Pepper Pike, the Village of Hunting Valley, and the landowners of the streams we surveyed.
