Restoration and Reconnection Along Ohio’s Chagrin River Video
Project video now available!
In 2024, CRWP completed a $2.2 million H2Ohio-funded land protection and river restoration project along the Chagrin River in partnership with the City of Willoughby, Western Reserve Land Conservancy, and many other partners. This project protected 78 acres of riparian corridor, stabilized riverbanks, removed dam remnants from the river, realigned the East Branch of the Chagrin River to a more stable configuration, and restored 1-acre of oxbow wetland within the former East Branch channel. CRWP's design-build team for this project was led by Biohabitats, Inc. Biohabitats and David Ike Photography created this informational video about the project which features interviews of many of the project partners and footage of the restoration work.
